WARRANTY CONDITIONS FOR CHIMNEY

Chimney warranty covers manufacturing defects in the motor and PCB for a specific period, but typically excludes damage caused by misuse, improper installation, or regular wear and tear. To make a warranty claim, you must register the product, retain the original purchase documents, and use only authorized technicians for service.

  • General warranty conditions:
    • Duration: Warranties have a comprehensive period (1 year), which covers most parts, and an extended, limited warranty for the motor, which can range from 5 to 7 years (as per model).
    • Registration: You must register the chimney within a specified period (5–10 days) or at the time of installation from the purchase date to validate the warranty.
    • Documentation: You must provide the original purchase invoice and a valid warranty card provided with the product to the authorized service personnel when requesting service.
    • Servicing: To claim warranty, it requires that the chimney be serviced at an interval of 180 days to 270 days for average to heavy cooking styles, and at least once a year for minimal usage by the authorized service center to remain valid. Regular cleaning and maintenance are the customer’s responsibility and are usually not covered.
    • Commercial use: The warranty is only valid for domestic use. Using the chimney for commercial purposes voids the coverage.
  • What is typically covered
    • Motor and rotor: The motor is often covered for the longest period, with warranties ranging from 5 to 7 years (as per model). The rotor may be covered as part of this.
    • Electronic components: Critical electronic parts, including the main Printed Circuit Board (PCB) and touch or push-button controls, are generally covered during the shorter comprehensive warranty period.
    • Auto-clean heating element and blower: For models with these features, they are usually covered under the comprehensive warranty.
    • Manufacturing defects: The warranty covers defects in material and workmanship that occur during normal operation.
  • What is typically not covered

      • Bulbs and LEDs
      • Switches and knobs
      • Charcoal and metal grease filters
    • Accidental and cosmetic damage: The warranty does not cover:
      • Breakage of glass or plastic parts
      • Scratches, chips, dents, or peeling of the chimney’s finish
      • Damage caused by accidents, misuse, or negligence
    • Improper usage: The warranty is voided by:
      • Failure to follow instructions in the user manual
      • Improper installation or repairs by unauthorized technicians
      • Damage from abrasive chemicals or an acidic environment
      • Damage from erratic power supply, including use with an inverter or generator
      • Fire caused by uncleaned filters
